Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006, Domino)
With a debut this good, you really do hope that maturity never rears its ugly head! As it turns out, Arctic Monkeys had a lot of tricks up their sleeves and this was just the impressive start of a rare band that really had what it takes to go the distance.
